The Pantry
Grains and olive oil used across everyday meals.
This pantry pairing includes Jenin Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Freekeh, and Maftoul.
About the Products
Jenin Olive Oil is cold-pressed olive oil collected from small-scale farmers in villages surrounding the city of Jenin. Each batch carries its own distinctive flavor and adds depth to everyday meals.
Freekeh is an ancient Palestinian grain, harvested early, flame-roasted, sun-dried, and crushed. It is grown from landrace wheat varieties cultivated and passed down through generations in Palestine.
Maftoul is traditional Palestinian couscous, handmade with whole wheat flour by women-run cooperatives and commonly prepared as part of home cooking.
How to Serve
This pairing brings together everyday staples we rely on during Ramadan.
Jenin olive oil is made for daily cooking, from sautéing and simmering to finishing dishes on the table.
Freekeh and maftoul are central to the iftar table, filling, nourishing, and easy to cook for many. Use maftoul for a warm salad or a simple one-pot dish, and freekeh for soups or stews that carry flavor and substance after a long day of fasting.
We’ve linked a few recipes below to show how these ingredients come together.
